so....my entry on friday and saturday were non existent, so ill have to make up for it with a big weekend recap.
this past friday was a working friday, so i ended up staying at work pretty late and got a fairly good workout in before going out. i ended up at Temple Bar in santa monica, which ended up being pretty rasta-ghetto as my friend alyssa had predicted it. they had some good live music, i dunno if it was worth the $10 cover though. either way, the night ended with a visit to Leo's taco truck on eagle rock blvd. if you have never had it, you are definitely missing out.
So saturday ended up being a shoe shopping day with my friend wes. we hit up flight club la, a consignment store where you can basically pick up any shoe ever made. you can sell your shoes there, but FCLA takes a 20% fee, but its worth it i think to get rid of kicks you dont want without having to sell online on ebay or niketalk or something. so wes dropped off 3 pairs of Jordan XIs, one of which sold within hours of dropping them off. here's a picture of the inside of flight club.

after FCLA, we headed out to Niketown to return my favorite bball shoes (all-star lebron IIIs) that just tore themselves apart. i was pretty sad to part with them, however i did pick up some nice new PE Air Jordan XXIs that feel pretty good. hopefully they will help kill my shin splints. after a full day of cruisin LA for shoes, i was pretty beat, so i took a nap and woke up just in time for the second half of the Texas vs. Kansas State game, which was pretty crazy. i'm so glad texas got bumped, i'm so tired of seeing them all over on TV. also, i was pretty stoked to hear that Nebraska clinched the Big 12 North, so they might have a chance to get their revenge on Texas if Texas can win out.
the night brought me and my co-worker johnnie out to venice to meet my other co-worker kyle and his gf for drinks at james' beach. it was a pretty tight spot with a diverse crowd, well kinda diverse. it was failry upscale, a little older than the hollywood club scene, but still edgy. it was cool, i would definitely go back. www.jamesbeach.com the night wouldnt be complete though without another late night run for mexican food. if i ever move out of LA, the new city better have some good late night mexican food. i think everyone knows this spot, so no explination is needed.

anwyays...thats pretty much the weekend. sunday was pretty chill, not much happening except some NFL football and a clearing out of my DVR.
i shall leave you with this retarded truck i saw on the 110S freeway. i mean really....is that really necessary?
